Allentown Fitness, Tennis & Splash Park

The Allentown Fitness, Tennis and Splash Park, a public recreational and aquatic facility, required a much needed renovation. The project scope required additions to and renovation of this existing facility, located on a relatively flat 10.51 acre site. The facility amenities include: six lighted tennis courts, four half-basketball courts, a lawn area for picnic tables, a sand volleyball court, tetherball court and a gazebo. The outdoor pool, which is located at the east elevation of the site, includes a main pool with a bridge, a Wading pool, a dive pool and a water slide. The administration / natatorium building is a one story steel frame construction. The administration area encompasses a Lobby area, several staff offices, a lower level machine room area, toilet / locker rooms and vending area. The natatorium houses a teaching pool, a six lane, 25 yard Main Swimming pool with a diving board and starting platform for competitive swimming, a whirlpool spa, cardiovascular training room, a weight training room, a multi-purpose room, various storage rooms. Directly attached to the natatorium building are a set of single occupant men’s and a women’s, toilet rooms.
